Cuban entrepreneurs are hoping the U.S. continues to make inroads with Cuba when Donald Trump takes office. Four visiting Cuban entrepreneurs visited Washington on Wednesday and, with them, brought a letter signed by more than 100 Cuban business owners asking Trump to keep building on the economic rewards they have realized. "As a successful businessman, we’re confident that you understand the importance of economic engagement between nations," the entrepreneurs wrote, reports the Miami Herald. "Small businesses in Cuba have the potential to be drivers of economic growth in Cuba and important partners of the U.S. business community." "I hope that the next president of the United States, as a businessman, understands our needs," said Yamina Vicente, whose company plans events. "I hope that my children will be able to dream too.”
